1983. He gave me the money and positioned me to kneel in front of the chair. He stood between me and the chair, stripped and sat down. He pulled me towards him and he was inside my mouth. I looked up at him and he was looking down at me - our eyes were locked. It was like that look between a mother and her infant while nursing. After the active feeding was over he leaned down and whispered in my ear, ‘That was great’.

I SURVIVED (AIDS)
We met on a sultry summer night in 1983. Tip toeing up the creaky wooden stairs to his apartment, he turned gesturing to be quiet. In the room where we shared our time together there was nothing but a table covered with trophies he had won from competing and a chair. He moved the chair to the middle of the room and positioned me to kneel. I looked up at him and he was looking down at me — our eyes were locked. It was like that look between a mother and child when nursing. After the active feeding he whispered in my ear, “That was great.” Every #sex act was like playing PAC-MAN — chasing and being chased for the pursuit of desire and intimacy.
